GoHighLevel SaaS Mode: How Agencies Sell White-Label Software
SaaS mode lets an agency sell GoHighLevel under its own brand as a monthly software subscription. Here’s how it works, who it suits and how to set it up properly.
We build the funnels, stores and CRMs we write about — this isn't outsourced content.

GoHighLevel SaaS mode lets a marketing agency sell GoHighLevel to clients as its own branded software, on a monthly subscription. Instead of only charging for services, the agency packages the CRM, funnels, calendars and automations into plans, sets its own prices, and lets clients sign up and pay online — with their account created automatically.
Done well, it adds recurring revenue that doesn’t depend on billing more hours. Done badly, it creates a support headache and unhappy clients. This guide explains how SaaS mode works, who it suits, and how we help agencies set it up so it runs smoothly.
What GoHighLevel SaaS mode actually does
SaaS mode is part of HighLevel’s Agency Pro plan, listed at $497 per month at the time of writing. It adds the tools an agency needs to run a software business on top of GoHighLevel:
- Plans you design — you decide which features each tier includes and what it costs.
- Online sign-up and payment — clients buy through a checkout page, funnel or sale link, with payments processed through a connected payment provider such as Stripe.
- Automatic account creation — when someone pays, their sub-account is created without you lifting a finger.
- Usage rebilling with markup — phone, SMS, email and some AI usage can be charged to each client, with your own margin added.
- Client wallets — clients keep a balance that usage charges are taken from, with automatic top-ups.
Combined with white-labelling — your own domain, logo and colours on the login and dashboard — clients see your brand, not HighLevel’s.
Who SaaS mode is right for
SaaS mode works best for agencies that already have one of these:
- A clear niche — for example dental clinics, roofers or real estate teams — so one well-built setup fits many clients.
- A proven setup that already gets results for existing clients.
- A way to reach many similar businesses, such as an audience, ads or partnerships.
- Capacity for support and onboarding, even if it’s a small team.
If you manage a handful of clients on custom retainers, the Unlimited plan is usually enough. Our GoHighLevel pricing guide compares the plans side by side.
Three common ways agencies package SaaS
1. Software only
Clients pay a lower monthly fee for access to a ready-made system and set most things up themselves, with help articles and videos. This scales well but needs very good onboarding, or clients get stuck and cancel.
2. Software plus setup
Clients pay a setup fee, and you load a proven configuration, connect their phone number and email domain, and customise the messages. Then they pay a monthly subscription. This is the most common model and usually the most reliable.
3. Software plus done-for-you service
The subscription includes ongoing work — building funnels, running campaigns or managing reviews. Higher prices, fewer clients, and more like a traditional retainer with software included.
How to set up SaaS mode step by step
- Build and test your core setup first — pipeline, calendars, forms, funnels and the key automations — in a template account.
- Save it as a snapshot, so every new client starts from the same proven system. See our guide to GoHighLevel snapshots.
- White-label the platform with your domain, logo and colours.
- Connect your payment provider and set up your SaaS configuration.
- Create your plans — features per tier, monthly price, any setup fee and trial.
- Set rebilling and markup for phone, SMS, email and AI usage, and decide on wallet top-up rules.
- Build the sign-up page and onboarding — welcome email, a short setup form, and help videos.
- Run a full test purchase with your own card to check the account, snapshot, emails and billing all work.
How to price your SaaS plans
There’s no single right price, but these principles help:
- Price on the value to the client, not on your software cost. A clinic that books more appointments values the system by the extra revenue, not by what you pay HighLevel.
- Keep tiers simple — two or three plans with clear differences.
- Include enough usage that clients aren’t surprised by charges, or explain wallet top-ups clearly up front.
- Charge for setup if you do real configuration work; it also filters out people who aren’t serious.
- Know your costs per client, including usage, support time and payment fees, so every plan stays profitable.
Messaging and compliance for your clients
In SaaS mode, each client sends messages from their own account, so each one needs the right setup. For US clients texting US numbers, that means A2P 10DLC registration. Every client also needs a properly authenticated sending domain for email. Build these steps into onboarding — skipped registrations are the most common reason SaaS clients complain that “automations don’t work”. Our GoHighLevel setup checklist covers the order to do this in.
Onboarding: where SaaS agencies win or lose
Most cancellations happen in the first month, when a client hasn’t seen value yet. A good onboarding flow gets them to a first result quickly:
- A welcome message with one clear first step, not ten.
- A short form that collects what you need to customise their account.
- A kick-off call or recorded walkthrough for the key screens.
- One automation switched on in week one — missed-call text-back is a good choice because clients see results immediately.
- A check-in after two weeks to fix anything that isn’t working.
Common SaaS mode mistakes
- Launching SaaS before having a setup that already works for real clients.
- Selling to every kind of business instead of one niche.
- Not budgeting time for support.
- Unclear usage charges that surprise clients on their first bill.
- Skipping messaging registrations and email authentication.
- Updating the master snapshot without testing, then breaking client accounts.
- Making claims about results you can’t prove.
Getting help with SaaS mode
We help agencies plan their offer, build and test the master snapshot, configure SaaS mode and rebilling, and create onboarding that keeps clients. If you’re considering it, our GoHighLevel service starts with a free review of your current setup and where SaaS could fit.
